I had some stamping time with my son Graham last week.  He wanted to make a card for Daddy, his idol.  I was working on this card, and he chose to create his like mine (I guess he likes me a little bit too!).  He changed the colours on his, and didn’t add as many layers, but I’m really impressed with his card!  Here is what Graham made:

He chose the ribbon, the the brad to add to it.  I was so proud of his efforts!

This is My card, the one he was CASing:

Time for another pair of Christmas cards!  I’m trying to keep up with making a couple per week so I don’t have a mountain of them to make late in the year.  This card was CASed almost exactly from Pinterest.  I changed the greeting and the ribbon, and added some background stamping, but all else is the same:

Then I made another one swapping out the colours:

Which one do you like better?  I’m a purple fan, so my fave is the top one.

This week we’re back to a product challenge.  I’ve requested PUNCH ART from the team this week!  I heard a few collective groans, and a couple of squeals of glee, but everyone delivered in the end.  Pull out your punches and play along with some Christmas fun!

Enter more than one project if you get a chance, the more the merrier!  If you do not have a blog to post your card on, you can use a free photo hosting site like Photobucket, or just email me the photo and I’ll post it for you!  Jump in with both feet!  We’re going to have random prizes on some weeks too so you NEVER KNOW when you might be in the running for some stamping goodies too!!!  I’ve got to have at least 5 entries in a week before I’m going to offer up a prize though!  Now, lets get on to the details of the challenge….

1: Choose a card or project that inspires you

2: Create your own Project

3: Load your project online somewhere, or email it to me at branicinoz@gmail.com and mention who on my design team inspired you.

4: Link your project below by clicking on the frog, which will take you to the link site.

5: Links close Thursday December 13th at 10am.  Winners will be posted later on December 13th

Now on to the Inspiration!

For my card this week, I wanted to do something different.  I used the Build A Blossom punch to make a string of Christmas Lights!

Madonna made this adorable reindeer with brads for eyes:

Tina made a set of cute bells:

Monique made reindeer with the Owl Punch and snowflake die for antlers:

Chloe made this adorable Santa Suit with punches:

Tanya used the ornament in the Merry Minis punch pack to make this sparkly tree:

Last but not least, our final Make & Take was this cute little box made with the Two Tags Big SHot die.  There are 5 little cards inside as well as this cute flag on top.  Isn’t it adorable?

No, wait, maybe a coloured background photo is better?

Here are the cards inside.  How cute?  They are really tiny (as you can see by my big fat finger)

Again, same colour combinations as all the others, and uses the Clockworks set, the greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments on this one.

I took a break there for 10 days or so to bring you some Halloween and other projects, but now I’ll get back to the final three SAS cards from my class last month.  This one is made with Dasher’s replacement, “Christmas Deer”.  I like this deer because he’s larger, and he’s got ornaments and other such items (a bird) that you can put on his antlers.  I’ve also used the Coredinations cardstock in Early Espresso to make the “tree”.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  I’ve also used the Woodgrain Background stamp on the Crumb Cake layer.

Oh….Mi….Goodness…..Nicole is posting a Christmas card and it’s NOT Friday!  That just must mean that Christmas is getting CLOSER and we need to start thinking ahead and making some extra Christmas cards pretty soon!  This card was inspired by Teneale Williams Convention Swap card here.  I chose to go with the same layout and sponging, but changed out the colour, stamp set and greeting.

The skates are from Jolly Bingo Bits, so is the snowflake.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  I love this card, and will certainly use this colour combination again for Christmas cards, but this is one card that I will NOT be mass producing!

At Convention, Vanessa Webb showed us some great techniques with Shimmer Paint.  This one really caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to duplicate it!  I showed this to my Stamping Stars Team at our team meeting in June.

Here is a closer look at the Faux Mother of Pearl background:

To get this look, I used Glossy Cardstock, and Frost White Shimmer Paint.  I used a wadded up piece of cling wrap and sponged the shimmer paint around the background.  When it was dry, I brayered some Blushing Bride ink over it and the shimmer paint resisted the ink.  I think it’s just beautiful.  I then stamped the Elements of Style images in Staz On over the background and used a Regal Rose and Old Olive marker to colour in the flowers.

This card was inspired by one I saw in the Canadian Catalogue, and I changed almost everything about it, except the layout.  I used the Pennant Parade set and I love the simplicity of this card:

So I know ribbon is not REALLY fabric, but I wanted to show you this cute card I made with ribbon scraps.  I just adhered some scraps to a piece of card, then punched a window with the circle punches, and adhered the scrap panel in behind.  I think it turned out kinda cute!

Sympathy cards are the hardest to make.  They are especially hard to make when they are to be given to someone you care about a lot.  My dear friend lost someone very close to her earlier this month, and I knew I had to make her a very special card.  I used the Fifth Ave Floral stamp set, and the Mocha Morning Specialty DSP for this one.

The lilies are stamped in Staz On on very vanilla paper.  The stamen was coloured in with Daffodil Delight marker and they were cut out, and adhered to the card with dimensionals.
