Today is back to school day!  My kids have been ready to head back for more than a week.  They are getting pretty tired of hanging out, and are missing their friends, so today is the BIG DAY!  My friend, who is a reception teacher, asked me to make her a Welcome banner for her new students.  She saw the “Party” banner that I made for my launch party back in September and wanted one just like that.  I’ve used the Perfect Pennants Die, and the Big Top Birthday DSP, along with the Boho Blossoms punch and Brights buttons for embellishments.  THe flags between the pennants are made with the Petal Cone die.

I had a request, from a friend of mine to make a name banner for her daughter’s room with her name on it.  It couldn’t be a short name like EMMA, of no, her name is ISABELLA!  She loved the “Party” banner I posted here, and asked if I could make one for her little 2.5 year old princess.  Just a note…both my friend and Isabella loved it!

Here’s a little closeup to show some of the bling:

I used Pretty in Pink Cardstock for the base flags, cut with the Perfect Pennants Die and embossed them all with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  The medallions are cut with the Pennants Die from the Flirtatious DSP.  The letters are cut from Melon Mambo with the Simple Letters dies, matted in Whisper White and So Saffron.  The ribbon is the Melon Mambo Dotted Scallop Ribbon, and the little flag pieces in between are from the Petal Cone die.  Buttons, Rhinestones and punched flowers form the Boho Blossoms punch round out the embellishments.  It was so fun to put this together, and now my daughter, EMMA wants her own.  I know THAT one will take alot less time!  Ha Ha!

I made this cute little banner to display at my launch party, so I could showcase the Perfect Pennants die and the Big Top birthday DSP.  I cut the pennant out, then used the medallions included in the same die for the centrepieces.  The letters are cut with the Simple Letters alphabet.  The flags in between the pennant come from the Petal Cone die.  I added a few punches and embellishments in there as well.  I love it!  It’s now hanging in my son’s room, as the colours matched pretty well.
