I had a request from a hostess to do a class for her friends at her home with a 12×12 scrapbook page, modelled after the page on the front of the Summer Mini Catalogue. This is the page that I came up with, modified, and the class was last night. I’ve used the Everyday Enchantment DSP, and the Array of Sunshine hostess set. The large blue flower is made with the Fun Flowers die, and I’ve done the Faux Suede technique on some of the flower layers.

A Pot of Flowers

My daughter, Emma, wanted to make a pot of flowers one day. She confiscated my green bucket, which I kept my pens in before. We stuck a piece of styrofoam in the bottom and covered that with some crimped, shredded paper. The flowers were cut from her favourite colours, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight. We used the Fun Flowers die and some yummy buttons for the centres. We embossed them and glued them onto wooden skewers. It’s a great decoration for her desk and matches her room perfectly!
Beyond the Garden Revisited

Okay, so maybe THIS card is not so bad compared to the last one I made with this DSP. In fact, I quite LIKE this card, as the DSP strip is small print, and lighter in colour. This card was inspired by ANOTHER card I saw on Pinterest.
I’ve used the Fun flowers die and the Doily punch in the centre to layer up this flower. I’ve sponged the edges with Whisper White ink and added some bling to the centre. The background is embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder.
