This was the second card that I made with the Awash with Flowers set.  I’m really happy with this one, it just came together nicely.  I started off with the medallion stamp, clear embossed on a crumb cake base.

The flowers are stamped in So Saffron with an outline of More Mustard.  The stems are in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  The greeting is from Precious Butterflies, and I’ve added a bit of that plastid ribbon (that I love!) in Blushing Bride.

Tracey Eaton once again issued me with a stamp set challenge.  I actually made two cards with this set in the same sitting.  This was the first one, using the Emboss Resist technique on the First Edition DSP:

To get the shaped card, I ran the folded card stock through the Big Shot with the Top Note die to get this shaped card.  The greeting is from the My Friend set.

I’m back with another Step it up Series!  This one I’m really in love with!  I saw a card on Splitcoast that was similar, and I just used it as a starting point to evolve into these.  Here is the basic card that I began with:

The stamp set is Awash with Flowers, and I’ve used a white base card.  The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight, and some accents of Melon Mambo and More Mustard in the watercolouring.

To step it up I embossed the background, added a few more flowers and sponging.  The only thing I wish I would have added is some bling, maybe pearls in the flowers.  What do you think?

I was inspired to make this card by one I saw on Heather Summer’s blog here.  Of course I changed a few things, but it does look pretty much like the original!  I think this is a very versatile stamp set!  I’ve used it for Thank You’s, Birthday’s and now a graduation card for the lovely young lady that was my flower girl way back when 12 years ago.  I can’t believe she’s all grown up and off to University now!

I used the Rock & Roll technique as well as two step stamping with this set.  I also added the rhinestones for a little extra bling.

Well, I’m just returning from Convention today, and I’m sure I’ll have tons to show you from there soon.  In the meantime, I’ve loaded up this flowery card for you to love.  Isn’t this set fun!  Make sure you have a Stampamajig though!  It makes it much easier!

Wow!  It’s been awhile since I stamped, and it’s been even longer since I’ve participated in a challenge!  Today, I took the time to do a pile of stamping.  The in-laws are here visiting, so the kids were well occupied.  Hubby was out in the garden puttering around, so I holed myself up and got inky in my craft room.  I loved this week’s sketch challenge at Just Add Ink, so I started wit this for my inspiration:

From that, I came up with this:

Now, before you ask, I’ve used the Awash with Flowers stamp set for the flowers, watercoloured them in and layered two together to make the flowers.  The centres are punched out circles covered in Crystal Effect and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.

Thanks for checking in!  More to show in the coming weeks!

I got a wonderful gift in my mailbox earlier this week.  A new Canadian Catalogue to drool over, some samples of the new Core Colours and this lovely card, all from Heather Summers.  She was kind enough to send me the catalogue via Air Mail so I could get it faster too.  It’s been permanently open on my desk since it arrived.  I LOVE it!  Now, I’m crossing my fingers that we get even half of what is in their new caty when ours comes out in Septmeber.  That’s only 7 more weeks people!

This card Heather sent showcases two of the new Core Colours, Marina Mist (my new favourite Blue!) and Daffodil Delight, and their matching inks, paired with Basic Black.  The striped ribbon is also new and hopefully will make it’s way to our shores too.  The greeting is punched out using their Modern Label Punch(also crossing my fingers for that one!) and Word Window.  I’m unsure of what stamp set the greeting is from.

She’s used their stamp set called Awash with Flowers, which is a Two Step stamping set.  Speaking of Two Step Stamping, remember that there’s a selection of Two Step sets on special this month.  You can see the original post with details here.

Don’t you just LOVE getting happy mail?  I know I do!  Thank so much Heather!!!
