This card was my own idea…except the colour scheme (Pool Party, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Silver Glimmer)…I honest to goodness came up with this one myself. I still do that sometimes…..

I’ve use the En Francais stamp set, Layered Labels, and Papillon Potpourri.

This cute page of my boy in the bathtub always makes me smile. This page was done more than a year ago, so I can’t remember too much of what I have used. I know the DSP is called Hawaii Papaya.

Birds of a Feather

I’ve been on Pinterest again. I know, it’s like I can’t start a card without an idea. That’s ok though. This card, however ended up completely different from the original. Only the layout stayed the same. I’ve used the Birds of a Feather DSP and the Layered Labels stamp set. The embellishments are Primrose Petals Dahlias and the Filigree Build A Brad.

Today is a BIG DAY too! I’ll flying off this morning for CONVENTION in Brisbane! It’s the annual event where hundreds of Stampin Up! Demonstrators flock together like bees to the hive, we buzz (scream!) and flit (dance!) and even do a little stamping too. I’ll be posting updates when I can (in the evenings most likely) but I have scheduled posts to keep you happy while I’m away. Will be back soon!

A Christmas Page

I don’t like to look at photos of myself from BEFORE, but it’s good for me to not only look at them, but to share them, so I can see how far I have come…this photo is obviously not one of my favourites, but I do love the layout here.

This uses the Christmas Cocoa DSP (I LOVE that things don’t retire in MDS!), and the Tree Trimmings stamp set.

This card is one that I saw on Pinterest. I CASED is almost exactly, with the exception of the ribbon as I loved it just the way it was. It came together very quickly using the Music Notes wheel, and the flower from “Oh, Hello”.

I wanted to try a Monochromatic page in MDS. These photos of Emma and her friend were taken a couple years ago. I just used Old Olive in various items and used accents of white. an Overlay adds to the “sponged” look around the edges.

Dynamic Duos Challenge!

I had some stamping time on the weekend so I went looking for some challenges. I found this past colour challenge on Dynamic Duos, and as much as I NEVER use Yellow, I challenged MYSELF to choose this one.

Another challenge to myself was to make a Sympathy Card with this colour combo. It’s not for anyone in particular, but they are always good to have on hand.

I started with embossing the En Francais stamp in clear on the black background. I resisted the urge to colour the leaves of the flower in Old Olive as the challenge states I can’t use anything other than a neutral and these two colours….the black button and yellow brads were the final touches. I’m happy with how it turned out.

Emma’s Birthday Card

I should have plenty of MDS pages coming up from the wild party we had for Emma on the weekend. What is more fun than a girly party of rainbows? In the meantime, I’ll show you her Birthday card. This is a hybrid card, partially designed in MDS, and partially paper…the best of both worlds really.

The Rainbow was the same one that I designed using punches for her Invitations….but I don’t think I showed those to you either, did I? Well this is what they looked like in MDS, then they were printed out and cut out…very cute indeed:

The back of the invitations were printed on the back of the rainbows. Each girl was assigned a colour to wear to match the theme. I’ll have more photos of the party to show later in the month….

Back to that hybrid card though, one thing I really like about this card is the Umbrella. It a stamp from the “Sunshine and Sprinkles” CD in the Seasonal Catalogue. I made it quite large and proceeded to colour it in. YES! You can colour in line art images in MDS! It’s tricky and time consuming, but if you are patient (unlike me) and you don’t mind it not being exactly perfect (don’t look too closely), then it can be done. This is exactly what I did to colour in the umbrella, then I printed it and cut it out as well. So cute! Check out this video:

with GLIMMER! Holy Moly, how LONG has it been since I made a real Christmas card? A LOOOONG time….Months I’m sure…well here you go! I’ve used the Print Poetry DSP stack form the Mini Catalogue and the Happy Hour stamp set here. Take note too of the CHAMPAGNE glimmer paper in the CHAMPAGNE glasses! I’m just too funny, I know it….!
